Child Protection Policy
Calvary takes protection of our children very seriously. It is our mission to provide the safest environment possible for children so that the focus may be on ministry and sharing the love of Jesus Christ.
All volunteers working with children and youth under the age of 18 are required to complete Calvary’s Child Protection Training. This includes Sunday School teachers, mid-week volunteers, van drivers; everyone who comes in contact with children must take this training. All employees of Calvary United Methodist Church are also required to take Child Protection Training.
The Child Protection Policy was updated in 2011. In addition to completing the training, all participants are also required to successfully complete a background check.
All current volunteers have completed Calvary’s Child Protection Training. Courses of Calvary’s new Child Protection Training are continuously being held.
If you would like to complete this training to be eligible to serve with children or youth at Calvary, please contact email@example.com
