On the Journey, Wisdom refers to our growth in authentic, loving relationship with the Triune God, his people, and his creation.
Spiritual formation then refers to the rhythms and practices by which this growth is made real in our inner and outer life as disciples of Christ. In short, Spiritual formation is our method of cooperation with the Spirit's transforming us into the likeness of Christ—transforming heart, mind, soul, and strength toward love of God and neighbor, which shows itself in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. We make room for the Spirit's work in us by means of grace like prayer, fasting, study, fellowship, solitude, and other practices of personal, purposive interaction with God.
spiritual formation groups (sfg)
The main environment in which we pursue wisdom together is the Spiritual Formation Group (SFG). These groups gather from September to May to encounter the Word, unite in prayer, and watch over one another in love. SFGs connect Wisdom with Worship by reflecting on the scripture for the upcoming Sunday.
classes and studies
There are also many other different studies, classes, resources, and support groups available to help us grow in Wisdom on our Journey together.
