Description:
Calvary provides a meal to the residents of Safe Harbor two Fridays each month. You can prepare the meal in their kitchen (or have the meal catered in) and then serve the residents at the evening meal. This is a great opportunity for small groups to serve together!

Jr High Sunday School Teacher

Usual Day/Time of Serving:
Sundays 9:00

Serving Location:
In the building, G3

How Often:
Can vary, weekly, 2-times per month, seasonally

Description:
Will follow a teaching outline to communicate key ideas to the group. Leads discussions and will guide students through reflection times.

Senior High Sunday School Support

Usual Day/Time of Serving:
Sundays 8:45-10:00am

Serving Location:
In the building, G4/G5

How Often:
Weekly during school year; can be flexible with weeks off

Description:
This support position will welcome youth as they come to Sunday morning Sunday school and help make all youth feel comfortable and make connections with the other youth. If able this person will provide basic tech support (running power point, etc...)

Attributes that work well with this serving opportunity:
Christ follower (no need to be a Bible Scholar!), Good listening skills, Welcoming, Basic computer skills (not necessary)

Senior High Small Group Leader

Usual Day/Time of Serving:
7:30-9:15 pm Wed nights during school year

Serving Location:
In the building; Gym/Student Ministry rooms

How Often:
Weekly during school year; can be flexible with weeks off

Description:
Lead our students toward Jesus by facilitating discussion in small groups of students. Discussions will be based around a lesson and discussion questions will be provided. Small group leaders will also be encouragers of the youth in their families and activities.

KidVenture Connecting Point Team Member

Usual Day/Time of Serving:
Before programming on Sunday mornings or Wednesday nights. (30 minutes serving). 8:40-9:05 AM Sundays (for nursery check-in), 10:10–10:35 AM Sundays, or 5:45–6:10 PM Wednesdays

In the building, Atrium

How Often:
Can vary, weekly, 2-times per month, seasonally

Description:
This team is the first connection new families will usually have with Calvary or KidVenture. This team welcomes newcomers and their children, explains the check-in process, gathers basic information to create profiles for adults and kids in the computer system in order to create check-in badges and security pick-up tags, and answers questions about our programs. Team members may provide short tours of program and worship spaces. They also will print and distribute attendance reports to room leaders.

A welcoming heart, a willingness to help others, good communication skills, light computer skills

KidVenture Large Group Leader

Usual Day/Time of Serving:
9:00am or 10:30am Sunday or 6-7pm Wed

Serving Location:
In the building, L2/L4, 113/115

How Often:
Can vary, weekly, 2-times per month, seasonally. Most people serve 2 or more times per month

Description:
Large Group Leader acts as the room host, engages the students in and reinforces the teaching points from the day’s lesson, and facilitates the worship experiences, including pre-recorded music and worship response. Musical ability is not a requirement. Requires Child Protection Training, including a criminal background check.

Evergreen Worship Helper

Evergreen Assisted Living (across the street from Calvary)

How Often:
Once a month

Description:
Volunteers help set-up a room and welcome the residents to worship together while live-streaming Calvary's 8:30 service at Evergreen.

KidVenture Small Group Leader

Usual Day/Time of Serving:
9:00am or 10:30am Sunday, or 6-7pm Wed

Serving Location:
In the building; Wonder Room, Story Rooms

How Often:
Can vary; Bi-weekly, weekly, seasonally

Description:
Using provided curriculum, lead a group of 4-10 students, engage in activities related to the day’s lesson, and guide students through discussions related to the lesson with prepared talking points. Remind children that God loves them. Lesson materials are provided and pre-planned. Small Group Leaders are needed at all age-levels, so you can decide what level (preschool—5th grade) works best for you. Requires Child Protection Training, including a criminal background check
