Silent Night - Together

Singing Silent Night together as a congregation is a something that no virtual experience can replace, but we can join our voices together in a different way this year and still celebrate the birth of Jesus.

You’ve probably seen our choir and band put together music remotely, and now we’d love to have you join in the fun! Here’s a quick video showing you how to record your family or yourself singing Silent Night. We’ll mix all the videos together to form a big congregational chorus and share that in our Christmas Eve Service. Don’t worry about how you sound alone, we’ll all sound good together.

Instructions for iOS (iPhones and iPads)

  • Download the Virtual Chorister App here.

  • Copy this YouTube link (press and hold, then choose copy) https://youtu.be/boX-xpa5Mgw

  • Open the Virtual Chorister App and grant permission to use your microphone, camera, and access to photos.

  • Tap the YouTube button at the top right.

  • Paste the YouTube link you copied above into the box (tap the cursor and then choose paste)

  • Tap go

  • Make sure you have some headphones plugged in or connected

  • Hit the record button (red button at bottom)

  • Follow the instructions in the video as it plays, Isaac will cue you when to sing

  • Hit the stop button (red square at bottom)

  • Go to this link to upload your video (it will be in your photos app when you click the “add file” button - you’ll select “select files from your device” then “Photo Library”). Don’t forget to hit “Submit” when finished.

  • That’s it, thank you!

Instructions for Android:

1. Download and open the Virtual Chorister app and grant permission to your microphone, camera and storage. (Make a note of where the app will save your videos so you can find them later!)

2. Tap the YouTube button on the top left.

3. Copy and paste this YouTube link into the YouTube section of the app. Tap "Go"

4. Make sure your headphones are plugged in and tap the Play icon in the video.

5. Tap the "Record" button - round circle at the bottom center.

6. Sing through the song.

7. Hit the "Record" button again to stop recording.

8. Go to this link in a web browser and complete the form. When you tap on the “Add File” button, choose "Select files from your device" and click through to the file or library you selected in Step 1.
